BlueLight Emergency services is a medical first response that primarily serves Edo State and neighbouring states to enhance pre-hospital patient care. Beyond the lifesaving instructions provided by the Bluelight Medical communication Officer, a Paramedic is often the first physical contact that the patient has with an individual who can offer some form of medical assistance.
Enhance the community’s ability to provide safe, effective, reliable, advanced First Aid through collaboration with Health Services in Edo State.
The purpose of the Bluelight Emergency Services stakeholders is to advise the Management Committee on trends, issues or concerns impacting emergency Medical services in the area.
The objectives of the committee are:
• To identify trends, issues and concerns concerning emergency health services
• To assist with strategies to address issues and concerns brought forward by the Bluelight first responders
• To assist with the implementation of solutions and programs developed to meet the changing needs of the community
• To provide input in strategic planning for Emergency health Services
• To provide input on service standards and/or recommend changes to current protocols or procedures.
BlueLight Emergency Services is a network of hospital emergency services, community-supported, medical first response teams led by medical experts adequately resourced and competently staffed offering comparable service to developed countries.
